Extension Forestry Program Coordinator

This position is responsible for providing forestry-related education and outreach, primarily to private forestland owners in King, Snohomish, Skagit, Island, and San Juan counties. Responsibilities encompass program coordination including development, implementation and evaluation, event management, research, analysis, and grant writing. A bachelor's degree in forestry or forest resources is required.

Riparian Restoration Project Manager Riparian Restoration

The Riparian Restoration Project Manager works with the Riparian Restoration Program team to implement restoration projects on Puget Sound Region Rivers. The project manager identifies restoration opportunities through partnerships with external agencies, organizations and landowners and through support from the department director secures funding to plan, design and implement restoration projects across the Puget Sound region to enhance riparian conditions on focus Rivers.

Resources Intern

Port Blakely is seeking a Resources Intern from June-Sept (Flexible Duration). The purpose of the Resources Intern is to provide support for a wide variety of forest resources projects to obtain experience and knowledge from an industry leader of forestland management. This position will get to work with our GIS and Land Records teams. Ordinarily, this position would work from our Tumwater, Washington, office, but due to COVID-19, the majority of the work will need to be done remotely. Field work and in-person collaborations will take place when we can safely do so.
