Past Present, and Future Uses of Prescribed Fire

Continuing the WSU's Extension 2021 summers series on fire, we are not going to explore the realm of intentional uses of fire as a management tool. While lightning strikes were one major form of ignitions prior to Euro-American settlement, Native Americans were the primary source of fire across the landscape for thousands of years. Utilizing fire for a multitude of reasons, indigenous burning shaped the plant and animal communities of the Inland Northwest for thousands of years.

South Puget Sound SAF Virtual Chapter Meeting - Forest Management Benefits from LiDAR

Cam Brown, a Strategic Planning Forester/Manager at Forsite Consultants, will give a talk about the forest management benefits of using LiDAR. The talk will last about 45 minutes with room for questions.
